Congrats to Joy on completing her QuickBooks Online certification ! Joy brings to the table a Bachelors Degree in Sales Management and 11 years of bookkeeping experience. Aside from Quickbooks, she is also certified in Bill.com
Before joining our team, Joy was the Controller for Blackhive Corporation, a Commodity/Grocery Distributor in Fayetteville, AR, for 7 years. She also has experience working in banking and retail management.
"I always loved the bookkeeping part of my first job and started as an accounting major at Purdue. However, my 19-year-old-self decided to change to a sales/marketing degree. I wanted to make a change out of retail management, so I started with Blackhive as a Customer service rep, and worked my way up into their accounting department and eventually ended as their Controller and CFO," she says regarding the path that led her to bookkeeping.
Joy enjoys cooking and hiking, and she loves the flexibility that her job allows her so that she can spend time with her husband and two sons.
